STEPS ON HOW TO DO ALGEBRA

In these steps I will be explaining how to do algebra. Algebra is two or more variables. Here are steps on how to solve one.

STEP 1: you write the problems out. x-5=9

STEP 2: then ask yourself what is being done to x-5=9
my variables and do the opposite of it.

STEP 3: so we do the opposite of subtraction witch 5+5=0
is addishtion. but both sides have to be egual 9+5=14
so it just adds up to 0 so X is left. do it to the
other side too.

STEP 5: so then x equals 14. x=14

TO CHECK YOUR ANSWER

STEP 1: you rewite your problem. x-5=9

STEP 2: you write the answer that you got up at the top 14-5=9
and then you do what the problems tells you to do. 9=9

STEP 3: if the answer equals the answer on the problem you x=14
got it right.

Factors and greatest common factors

First I'm going to tell you what factors are and how to find the greatest common factors. Factors are numbers that you multiply to get the number and it can also be the number then sequenced to find the less common multiply, but we are only going to by looking at the greatest common factors.

example: say you have the numbers 12 and 10 and you need to find out the greatest common factors here is what you do.......

1. you list some of the factors of 12 witch are 1,2,3,4,6,12.



2. then you list the factors of 10 witch are 1,2,5,10.



3. but wait I have 1 in both sets but the 2 is greater then that.



4. so now we have our greatest common factor witch is 2.

• but that is the long way so if you want to now a faster way to do this follow these advise..

1. you just list just the factors of the lowest number witch is 10



2. then find what number goes into 12 from those factors but you don't have to write it down.
